American Underwater Services, Inc. has acquired over the years a wide variety of hydraulic dredge machines that are designed to deliver maximum efficiency and productivity with our customers projects on a daily basis. Our dredges range from 4" machines all the way to 14" machines. We have vacuum dredges, cutter-head dredges and the common auger-type dredge machines.

Our typical dredge is 8 feet wide by 30 feet long. The dredge is winched forward and backward by hydraulic wenches. Lateral movement is accomplished by adjusting the shore mounted cable system. In openwater conditions, our dredges with spuds are used.

We can also have a dredge machine that has a special attachments that allow us to dredge ponds/lagoons that have liners in them.

The dredged material is pumped through HDPE pipes to the proper disposal method. We can pump long distances with the addition of in-line booster pumps.
